Elspeth Mason BSc PGCE LPIOL - Director of Training and a Senior Trainer Assessor

Elspeth is a qualified teacher and LPIOL with D32/33 and D34 assessing/IV qualifications. She has many years experience of working in the outdoors and providing first aid training for various needs. As a teacher, a Mum and an Outdoor Instructor she has had a lot of hands on experience of first aid in a range of situations which helps when creating realistic scenarios for different needs.
In the outdoors Elspeth is a qualified Mountain Leader, Level 3 Canoe Coach among other qualifications and has held qualifications in most outdoor sports over the years. She was an active member of Duddon and Furnes MRT for several years with a MREW Cas Care qualification and sits on the MTE Board in addition to being on the National Executive of the Institute for Outdoor Learning.

Samantha Hillcox BSc, MSc, PGCE, FRGS

Sam Hillcox has worked in outdoor education for nearly thirty years, most recently as Head of Centre. A qualified climbing instructor and recreational caver, Sam is a qualified science teacher, aspirant International Mountain Leader and has lead expeditions around the world, from Moroccan desert to the jungles of Borneo, Iceland to Australia. A first aider since 1993, she began training people in first aid in 2015.

Jaq is a professional outdoor instructor and specialist provider of RLSS water safety training for leaders and professionals. She has also been a member of Mountain Rescue for over 10 years with active membership of the swift water rescue team.

Deb is a highly experienced expedition leader with experience all over the world. She has taught first aid courses for more than 20 years

Vicky Binks

Vicky is a professional outdoor instructor with particular expertise in working with people with a range of special needs. Vicky was active member of Mountain Rescue for over 10 years and attended regular training including holding the Mountain Rescue Casualty Care qualification.
